Tawny Lam and Kevin Yip pooled their business smarts in 1992 to create leather upholstery importer Diamond Sofa, based in Commerce, Calif. "We thought of finding a niche and decided to do sofas on an import level," Lam says. "There was not much imported furniture (in 1992) like the way it is now, or too much competition on the promotional price front. We introduced luxury items at promotional price points." While never abandoning its promotional base, In 2006, Diamond Sofa stepped up some leather grades. Today, the couple co-owns a leather upholstery in Thailand with a leather-savvy college friend who manages its 435 employees. Diamond Sofa also has a partnership in China, where 125 workers produce its microfiber and leather-match promotional seating. The company, which sells to Top 100 stores and independents, across the Americas and Europe, moved into an expanded 150,000 square-foot warehouse in Commerce in May.

The manufacturer warrants the leather against splitting and tears from five years of the date of purchase under normal household usage. The warranty does not include coverage for natural markings, variations in grain or color. These are nature's signatures and prove the authenticity of the leather. Claims due to cuts, burn, pet damage, damage caused by contact with rough or sharp objects, or damages from acts of God are excluded from this warranty. This warranty also does not cover spills, such as: acid, dyes, wine, solvents, or by corrosive chemical, ink, paint, or body fluids. The following will void this abuse, negligence, exposure of the leather to the sun, extreme heat, or bright lights. This warranty applies to 100% leather and leather match (vinyl combinations). Top grain leather and leather match (vinyl combinations) have a five year warranty on the leather parts and one year warranty on vinyl parts.

The spring construction in this product is free from defective material and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of purchase under normal household usage.

The manufacturer warrants all foam cushions against loss of foam resiliency for three years from the date of purchase. Seat cushions and back cushions will conform to its use and aging. Do not confuse normal softening that occurs in all foam with actual loss of resiliency.

The reclining mechanisms shall be in good working order, and shall be free from defective materials and workmanship for three years from the date of purchase under normal household usage.

This limited warranty extends only to the original residential consumer purchaser. The manufacturer's liability under this limited warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective product at its option. Transportation charges between the consumer and the dealer or manufacturer are not covered by this warranty.

We offer a 30 day return policy. If you are unsatisfied for any reason with your purchase, you may return it. Custom Manufactured items, Special Order items, Bedding and Linens, or items that are close-outs or purchased on Sale cannot be returned. It is necessary for you to obtain prior written approval by contacting us via email to initiate a return. We will issue a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) with written instructions. Any item being returned must be in new condition and in its original packaging. Items arriving at our location, packaged in any way other than the packaging it was originally sent in will be refused. Once an item has been assembled or modified it is no longer returnable. Any item returned will be inspected and upon satisfactory receipt a credit will be issued to the method of payment used for your purchase. A refund will be reduced by a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price as well as the shipping charges we paid to send the item to you. A few of our manufacturers may be excluded from our return policy. Any exceptions are noted on the page of the item.
